As spring begins, I hear the lawn mowers firing up all around the neighborhood and part of me dreams of not having to participate in the weekly march. Some people have innovated their way out of lawn mowing through sheer genius. This is one of the things that makes Brookside unique, you won’t see these sorts of things out in the burbs so I thought we’d take the week to look at some of these alternative front yards.
Here’s my first pick–this person is using a great mix of ivy, trees and shrubs to cover the front lawn.
